GENERAL MANAGER
Job Summary
As the most senior member of the restaurant management team, you will lead the site proactively and efficiently. Responsible for upholding standards across the whole service you will also help cultivate an inspiring environment for staff to learn and prosper. Amazing hospitality will be your number one priority but with a mindfulness to upholding all legal standards of cleanliness and training. The ability to demonstrate effective and cooperative team working with colleagues at all levels is a prime requirement of the role.
Who We Are
Starting as a street food van, and the first to bring Neapolitan pizza to Newcastle, we now have a thriving mobile catering arm alongside two restaurants. Our pizza is award winning, creative and has featured on several BBC TV shows!
I Scream for Pizza is our take on a New York inspired pizza and ice cream joint, serving up interesting and exciting 20" slices and home made ice cream, using local dairy milk. Our Quayside venue is small but mighty, with a great reputation in the Newcastle hospitality scene. We only have 15 internal covers, and do a roaring trade on grab & go plus Uber.
We are always looking to improve what we do and are looking for our next GM to help us be the best we can be and take our service to the next level. We are a hands-on and supportive senior management team but require someone who can work autonomously on service and always has the restaurants best interests at heart.
Due to the size of site and team this is a service heavy role, with clearly defined admin hours outside trading time. If you want to hide in an office, this isn’t for you!
